Baie-Saint-Paul is a simple city, full of hidden treasures waiting to be discovered.
You want to explore the region, but don’t know where to start? Baie-Saint-Paul’s agritourism circuits are there for you! In collaboration with the Association des Gens d’Affaires de Baie-Saint-Paul and the Table Agrotouristique, Agrotours Charlevoix has created various circuits featuring members of the region.
The circuits are presented by the CMQ
This short circuit will make you discover the center of Baie-Saint-Paul, rue Saint-Jean-Baptiste. With a vocation of services, there were at the time: general stores, craft shops, blacksmiths, wheelwrights and several professionals.
Even today, you will discover many shops and the highest concentration of art galleries per capita in Canada. Take this tour independently or let Agrotours Charlevoix guide you through the history, producers, terroir and anecdotes of the place.
Every Sunday in summer, we invite you to start the day with a visit to the Public Market, or even a short walk along Saint-Jean-Baptiste Street, the center of the city. Then, stop in a restaurant among our proposals and enjoy a good meal to discover the terroir of Charlevoix in your plate. End this little family moment with a visit to the Cynthia Chocolate Factory and have a sweet dessert!
This circuit of about 4 hours will allow you to discover the West of the city. You will begin with a visit of an ancestral farm raising Galloway cattle. The circuit will then take you to a lavender producer where the vision of the colorful fields and the river will enchant you. Finally, head for a visit to the Baie-Saint-Paul Volières and discover the breeding of wild boars, pheasants and guinea fowl. On the way back, you will be able to observe the city of Baie-Saint-Paul from above and enjoy a breathtaking view of the river. We suggest you to end the day with a small meal and a good beer.
Are you planning to receive family or organize a dinner with friends? Make it a day! With this circuit, you will discover two producers of fine cheeses, one of which also produces wines and spirits. On the way back, get salmon and smoked trout at the Fumoir St-Antoine and, before going to enjoy these little treasures, stop for a good beer at the Microbrasserie de Charlevoix.
Start this circuit of about 6 hours with a little pick-me-up at Café Arômes et Saveurs. Then stop for a tasty meal. Once satiated, visit two meat and charcuterie producers as well as a duck farm. End the day by discovering the surprising emu of Charlevoix.
The river is calling you? Discover Isle-aux-Coudres and its surroundings. Before taking the ferry, start with a visit to a mill dating from 1790 and stop for a market garden. Arriving on the island, first visit a cider house and then take a meal break. Satisfied, continue your discovery and don’t forget to stop at Boulangerie Bouchard to get the famous Grand-Mère pie and some crooked pâtés.
Get away and discover the grandeur of Charlevoix! Take the direction of La Malbaie and discover a fascinating farm and a honey house with an incredible view of the river. Stop for a light meal and continue with a distillery/brewery before heading to two captivating producers. On the way back, make a quick stop at Fromagerie St-Fidèle to get the famous “skouik-skouik” cheese and a good ice cream for the road.
