Train de Charlevoix : travelling green

A unique experience in Quebec, the Train de Charlevoix offers an extraordinary immersion into the wild and majestic landscapes of the region. With a journey that follows the St. Lawrence River for 125 kilometers, from Quebec City to La Malbaie, you’ll have the privilege of traversing a surreal territory that is otherwise inaccessible. It’s the perfect opportunity to leave your car in the city for a while and enjoy the train and its breathtaking views. An inspiring example of carbon neutrality and green transport, combine pleasure and environmental consciousness by choosing the Train de Charlevoix for your next stay.

Baie-Saint-Paul, known for its art, gastronomy, and environmental respect, naturally forms partnerships between the train and various tourist establishments in the city. Several packages are offered in collaboration with local hotels, such as Hôtel Germain and Hôtel Baie-Saint-Paul. There are options to suit all tastes and budgets. For food enthusiasts, take a day trip from Quebec City and use lunchtime to sample some of Charlevoix’s local products. This year, a new partnership between the Train de Charlevoix and the Musée d’Art Contemporain de Baie-Saint-Paul provides free access to the museum and its various exhibitions. A wonderful way to combine nature and art: the essence of our city.

With a longer operating season than ever, the train will be running from May 24 to December 8. It’s the perfect chance to enjoy Baie-Saint-Paul in all seasons. On the train, Charlevoix’s culinary experience is within reach. Local product tastings are offered, including renowned regional cheeses, various charcuteries, craft beers from the Baie-Saint-Paul microbrewery, and more. An immersive experience that leaves no one indifferent.

Departing from Montmorency Falls in Quebec City, the Train de Charlevoix operates 7 days a week during the summer season. To learn more about the offers and packages, click here.
