The Museum of Contemporary Art invites you on a visual journey inspired by the timeless fables of La Fontaine.
From June 21 to November 9, 2025, the “Fables” exhibition will bring together the fascinating worlds of Marc Chagall and Carol Wainio, two major artists whose works breathe new life, color, and meaning into the classic tales that shaped our childhood. It’s a meeting at the crossroads of literature, memory, and contemporary creation.
More than just a museum, the MACBSP is a vibrant, accessible space designed for everyone. Its summer programming is packed with exciting events. From August 11 to 16, La Placette Desjardins, the museum’s outdoor space, will host workshops and activities for young people, offering an immersive art experience. Additionally, from July 31 to August 24, the International Symposium of Contemporary Art will bring together twelve artists from diverse backgrounds. Working live and in front of the public, they will create and engage in dialogue, making this an unforgettable encounter.
Deeply rooted in its community, the museum makes art accessible to everyone, the curious, the novice, and the passionate alike. It celebrates major figures in the art world while also providing a platform for emerging artists. Everyone will find something to reflect on, marvel at, or be inspired by. This summer, the institution is going even further, moving beyond its walls to meet the public with accessible, creative, and deeply human outreach activities.
At the MACBSP, contemporary art isn’t just for an elite few, it’s meant to be shared and experienced. Come and see for yourself.
