Every year, as part of the production of the Tourist Guide, a local artist embarks on creating an exclusive artwork specifically designed for the cover. For 2023, Josiane Lanthier unleashes her creative spirit and lets her brushes dance with the colors inspired by Baie-Saint-Paul.

This enchanting charm, the artist felt it the moment she set foot here. It was love at first sight. She fell in love with the vastness of the mountains and the salty river. An environment in which one simply feels good. Therefore, after studying Visual and Media Arts at UQÀM and spending 13 years of her life in Montreal, she settles in our city where she finds her place. Drawing inspiration from the landscapes, both calm and vibrant, she creates artistic pieces that allow us to discover these panoramas with a fresh perspective.

The Association of Business People, in collaboration with Josiane Lanthier, is proud to present her artwork “The Mechanical Dragonfly.” The artist unveils the personality of Baie-Saint-Paul through a canvas illuminated with colors that define its reputation. Setting your eyes on the painting, you will be captivated by unique shades of lilac and mint, as well as warm hues of orange-yellow.
